Dare2Design promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills while enhancing creativity, STEM knowledge, and business acumen. Students in grades 3-12 engage in an interactive, interdisciplinary experience using the 7-Step Invention Process to identify problems, create solutions, and pitch their products. They begin by recognizing real-world challenges, researching existing solutions, and refining ideas through a structured project plan. Moving into design and prototyping, they construct and test their inventions, improving based on results. Finally, they present their innovations through writing and pitching.
By emphasizing the process of invention or creation as a means of understanding and acquiring knowledge, Dare2Design program encourages students to engage in problem-solving, exploration actively, and discovery to construct their understanding of concepts and principles.
